The new rankings have been released and due to the Roadmap the points have been increased. Maria's points are now 5030 and she remains in 9th place. The points have doubled from 2008.

Maria will be defending 2000 points from last year for winning the Australian Open.

Another change in the rankings is that the system counts the best 16 results instead of 17.
