Maria has had to pull out of her Rome semi-final today against #4 seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia with a left calf injury.
Maria said this about the injury: "When I stepped on my left foot today I knew there was no chance I was going to be able to go on court. It was the best decision at this point, especially with a big tournament coming up (Roland Garros)."
