To most people Maria Sharapova has it all - she's one of the best talents in women's tennis with moviestar looks, a massive legion of fans and a glamorous lifestyle. But it's something that Maria doesn't have that is the focus of Nike's latest ad campaign featuring the Russian, who turns 21-years-old on Saturday.
"Maria Sharapova - Training To Win Paris" is a section on the Nike Training Web site which outlines Sharapova's fitness regime as she prepares to win the only Grand Slam title she has yet to win, Roland Garros. In this unique insight into her training, Sharapova takes us through the exercises which aim to add greater strength, quickness, stamina, flexibility and versatility to her already phenomenal game.
"I know that I'm not the quickest tennis player, but I do know that I compensate for that by being quick with my reactions," explains Sharapova on the Web site. "The quicker I know where to be, the quicker I'll get there."
